THE CONSTRUCTION MANAGERS JOURNEY
To all managers of construction, Welcome,
Since the days of the CSCS Profiled Route, which allowed CSCS skills cards to be gained without qualification, we have continued with our commitment to support managers of construction to stay competitive and employable within the construction industry.
Today the preferred and only viable route for working managers to gain a CSCS Manager or CSCS Supervisor Card is the NVQ Assessment Route. Achieving an Edexcel NVQ Diploma at Level 6 or Level 7 will open the door to you becoming a Member of the Institute of Builders (MCIOB).
Whatever you seek, NVQ Qualifications, fast-tracked CSCS Black Cards, MCIOB Application, we recognise that we all need assistance at sometime or other. So we give support where needed via online CPD courses, NVQ Guidance and personal one-to-one Mentoring.
A mentoring programme is different from a mentoring course. Our mentoring programmes can be best described as a journey in which we take candidates at supervisor or assistant manager level to full professional management recognition. Our mentoring courses enable those on the journey, whatever their current level is, to reach their immediate goal and long term professional destination.
We do this via our personal and online services to managers of construction, as follows:
- NVQ Assessment Qualifications
- NVQ Addition Guidance Online Series
- NVQ Personal Mentoring Programmes
- GAP Knowledge and CPD Online Courses
- MCIOB Application Guidance & Personal Support
We connect our candidates to what is being asked of them, to their working experience and to the working experiences of practicing professionals. Candidates are then able, in most cases, to authentically meet the knowledge and performance criteria’s of their course or applications. If there is a knowledge or performance shortfall, we are able to bridge that gap with assistance in the shape of online courses and personal support, via interactive online materials and sound advice.

Additional Support by a Work Based Recorder
The NVQ process by design is a matter of completing an academic process. The problem is that many construction management NVQ candidates do not come from an academic background. As with our previous CSCS card applications, at RivaSure we can provide, on request, and where needed, added Work Based Recorder NVQ guidance & support. This is in addition to a personal NVQ candidate assessor assigned to each candidate, thus ensuring that all eligible candidates successfully complete their NVQ in a timely fashion.... more
Read this testimonial from a recent candidate;
"I was in a desperate situation to get the black site manager card quickly… So I contacted William at Rivasure and he took me on and tutored & mentored me through the long list of questions. He was always attentive and his guidance was excellent. He was able to help me put into words what I knew in a professional manner which enabled me to answer the questions..." Mark C.
A Better Construction Manager!
An import goal for us is to enabling others more easily to make the jump to construction management, and to provide the more experienced with sound continual professional development (CPD).
For this purpose, our online GAP CPD courses have been created to help those who enroll to understand how to confidently and professionally manage, to current H&S legislation practices and procedures, a construction management role. By design these CPD courses help develop a better resolve to manage H&S at the appropriate professional level, from a moral, cost and legislative perspective. To that end, this course is also an ideal preparation for those candidates considering a construction management NVQ at any level... More
