Overcoming the pain of making an application!
Have you ever been put off applying for something which you know you are entitled too… but the process is rather off-putting! … or, it’s hard to get your head around! … or simply because you’re too busy?
It’s a common story… I was speaking with a client this week, and we came to the conclusion that the hardest part of claiming the Government’s Research and Development Grant on their behalf was getting over the start line!
In the conversation, I identified a few common hindrances, which were:
I don’t really understand what a grant is, and I’m worried that I have to give it back!
Simply put, a grant is an amount of money which is, in this instance, given by the Government, a GIVING of funds for a particular purpose (R&D)… and No, you don’t give it back.
I don’t understand what Research and Development is?
In industry terms, it is investigating at planning or during the build process specific project and contract issues such as design, planning, environmental, build ability, work methods, company infrastructure requirements and development and identifying project products; all issues normally contained on a project RA which need to be identified, qualified and quantified before a project is given the green light or as an issue is identified. Overcoming problems; Research and Development is the process and innovation is the outcome.
Yes I see we do this all the time but… I don’t have the time, know how or resources to apply!
Now, this is the simple bit. We have the time, know how, resources, expertise and track record (100% success) and in agreement with you, we apply on your behalf. Retrospectively, the Government’s Research and Development Grant can be claimed for this year and the previous 2 years. The Grant has been available for 10 years and is only available for the next 4 years. Now is the time to apply (Ave. National Payout-55K).
I did apply previously, but my grant application was rejected. Should I apply again?
Absolutely YES! However, unless you are an architect or designer or engineer, you would not construct your own drawings and details, you would outsource that task to an expert.
We have an expert full time team who do nothing else but professionally process R&D Grant Applications and I would like the opportunity to introduce you to them.
