The CSCS Profiled Route closed at the end of March 2016. The CSCS have stated that, With the announcement made by the construction leadership council, the Profiled Route no longer supports the industry’s desire for a fully qualified workforce. They have further stated that, Applicants will still be able to apply for a Construction Site Manager or Construction Site Supervisor CSCS card, but will be required to complete an NVQ/SVQ levels 4, 5, 6 or 7.
At RivaSure we were disappointed to see the close of the profiled route as it perfectly met the needs of our candidates and fulfilled the requirements for which it was set up, that is to allow competent professionals to achieve their CSCS cards quickly. Since officially announcing the closure of the route, the CSCS have not yet broadcast a ruling to allow existing card holders, for cards gained via the profiled route, to renew beyond the initial 5 years without a suitable qualification being in place.
It is therefore important that all card holders work towards an adequate NVQ well before their renewal date so as not to be vulnerable to any future CSCS rulings, whether they be in their favour or not.
It is for this reason that as a company we continue to offer Supervisory and Management NVQ’s. As with our CSCS profiling service, we offer professional guidance and support, assisting the non academic professional to gain academic qualifications and to complete academic applications. We are especially pleased to offer NVQ level 6 & 7 management candidates MCIOB application assistance.
Sometimes change is thrust upon us without giving us a choice, however that change came about, turning that change to advantage can have a silver lining.
