Most construction companies are seeing an upturn in activity and this is reflected in the reported operating profit posted by the recruitment giant Hays of a 386%.
The skill gap shortage is still a chasm waiting to be filled and many companies are trying to bridge this gap by promoting within, which is a very good strategy as long as ready replacements are also being nurtured!
At RivaSure we feel the trends for employment via our NVQ and CSCS Profile Route Management, Supervisor and NVQ trade inquiries. We have recently noted a change from individual applications and inquiries to Corporate involvement from Senior Project and Co Directors wishing to qualify tried and tested employees, seeking professional awards and recognition for those already doing the job!
Another recent influx of inquiries is from those candidates who have either attempted the profile route, and have not been successful, those who have tried to complete the application going solo and .. those who have looked at the CSCS Applicants evidence sheet and are at odds to understand the questions. In fact, feed back on the web is that most prospective candidates are put off by the questions! This is not the case at RivaSure. We provide the Guidance and Support so that all eligible candidates fully understand what is being asked of them by translating, with guidance on our Fastrack Interactive System, the CSCS profile Questions into Construction Site Management and Supervisory language which those in the business will fully understand.
Presently we are processing Construction Engineers, Specialist Surveyors, Managers involved in large refurbishment projects, House Builders, Civils, Commercial and other experienced Construction Site Managers. Inquiries have come from individual candidates, Principal Contractors, Agencies and Companies for the Profile Route and for our NVQ service.
Please feel free to get in touch if you wish to check your eligibility for either route and/or if you or your company wishes to discover which is the best route to suit the individual candidate’s circumstances, working history / experience and if you wish to have the CSCS profile route questions and the NVQ process explained.
